VOLUNTEER Position - AD MANAGER

The ad manager job is mainly one of contacting prospective advertisers by phone, and asking them to advertise with Daily.  Since we're currently offering very low-cost advertising ($10/business card-sized ad) which will hopefully continue into the fall, most people are very willing to advertise.  The job is trying to track these people down, get a hold of their cards or ad copy, and get their money.

Kristi Swanson is doing layout, and Sue Roalman's been very involved in drawing up lists of prospective advertisers, so this person will have some support.  But, ad managaer has to be okay with the idea that some people will say 'no', and they have to persevere ( e.g. call back, and call back again, when people say they want to advertise, but then fail to follow through.)

Our aim is to get our printing costs covered by advertising (about $200 per issue right now, which is 20 ads).
